Not My Recipe: Firecrackers

Not My Recipe: Firecrackers

Of course anything that I cook or bake or make was not my own creation.  Here's the link to the original posting on Pinterest.

These Firecrackers have been a fan and fam fave for years! They are super easy to make, a little more hearty than traditional Chex Mix and can be packaged in many ways as teacher treats throughout the year {Monster Munch, Reindeer Food, Cupid Snacks}.  Here's how I've changed up the recipe over the years to create a maximum enjoyment:

Ingredients:
1 box Cheez-Its
1 box Mini Club Crackers
1 box Oyster Crackers or Mini Saltines
2 packets dry Ranch  Dip
Red Pepper Flakes (to taste)
1 cup Canola Oil
1 Gallon Ziploc Bag

Directions:  In the Ziploc bag, layer half the box of Cheez-Its, Club Crackers and Oyster crackers. Coat with one packet of Ranch Dip and several shakes of Red Pepper Flakes.  Repeat.  After the entire gallon bag is full an coated with the dry rub, pour one cup of canola oil into the bag, secure, and shake until all crackers are coated.  Shake several times over several hours.

Best if let sit over night before serving.  Place in airtight container.
